I recently purchased this DVD and, although it was completely different than what I was expecting (because of course I am not smart enough to read reviews), I still enjoyed it.These two lovely ladies, Bettina Mae and Go Go Amy, take you step by step through the process of achieving your pin-up model look from make up to posing. Many other reviewers have complained that there was not enough editing, one example being that you literally sit there through Bettina Mae setting Go Go Amy's hair in curlers in real-time, all ten minutes of it. While some may find this taxing and boring I feel like, as a complete novice, this is exactly what I needed. I saw what it looked like to roll each layer of hair and how to take the rollers out properly and in my book this information is worth my time. For those who do not agree, DVD players were made with fast forward buttons for a reason, use them!I was disappointed that they provided you with absolutely no information on where to find the clothing they were wearing or where to buy pin-up fashions period. There was an equal lack of information about the brands of the products used during the make-up and hair lessons, tips that would have been fantastic for those looking to achieve looks identical to those portrayed on the DVD. There was also absolutely no information on how to come across or get in contact with people in the pin-up model industry or photographers who specialize in this sort of photography.
Besides those oversights I still feel that this DVD provides beginners with valuable information from two beautiful ladies (especially that Go Go Amy. Gosh, is she ever pretty!) who know what they are talking about and are experienced in this industry. I recommend this product!
